Forgotten Words
This video installation was designed exclusively for the Casablanca Biennale under the curatorial command, "We, the People", the first words of the United States Constitution preamble.
Forgotten Words is a video installation based on environmental issues. It reminds to visitor the words that have been forgotten in the politics concern.
These forgotten words have been missed in the United States of America Constitution. Where there is no mention about Environmental Rights to American people….and for the rest of the world.
Forgotten words are Environmental Rights: to drink clear water, to breath clean air, to a healthy environment, to a non pollutioned land just to mention some…. These words appear in the installation to remind us about their importance and the possibility to make a better place to live.
Two videos are projected onto “pages” made of translucent vegetal striped paper. The videos images are from natural landscapes where Forgotten words appear on them in French, English and Spanish.
It is a shrine open to the humanity…
Andrea Juan continue inviting us to reflect and meditate about environmental care trough the beauty and poetry of her artwork.
